App Review – Adobe Photoshop Express
Adobe Photoshop Express (formerly, Photoshop.com Mobile) is a well-balanced and versatile app, providing just the right amount of functionality without trying to do too much and becoming unwieldy. There are really two distinct components to be reviewed, first being the mobile app and second, the online Photoshop.com component. So, here goes…
The App: The online app displays the photos held on your phone/memory card, as well as whatever photos you have uploaded to Photoshop.com (covered later). Clicking on one of the photos opens it up, as one would expect, and the menu options allow for editing, deleting, uploading, viewing photos as a slideshow, and setting wallpapers (which goes a bit quicker than setting the wallpaper from within the stock gallery but does not allow for cropping). There are some very cool effects built into the app, and I like that it allows you to just shoot pictures and worry about editing later on, unlike FxCamera (which I also like, for the most part), which requires the effects to be set prior to shooting.
